Volunteer Appreciation BBQ Dinner at the Shelter
The Santa Ynez Valley
Humane Society
held its annual volunteer appreciation BBQ dinner at the Buellton
shelter.
The event was held on Saturday, September 10th
from 4:30pm to 6:30pm and was a great success.
Approximately 65 volunteers enjoyed a BBQ dinner by Bruce's Prime Cuts
and were given tours of the shelter including the boarding facilities, cat
& kitten rooms,
the spay & neuter surgery and vaccination clinic
and 3 fenced outdoor
grass play areas for the dogs.
In 2010 the volunteers helped with the adoption of 314 dogs, puppies,
kittens, and
cats.
This event was held to thank the volunteers who gave their time
at the shelter, at our thrift store located in Solvang
and
the many other events put on by the Humane Society.
