and Found Pets Losing a pet can be a frightening and frustrating experience. Many of the traditional recommendations on finding lost pets do not take into consideration the unique situations and personality of the animal. We strongly recommend contacting and visiting your local animal shelters frequently. You can leave a lost or found report with us by e-mailing us or calling (805) 688-8224. In Santa Barbara County stray animals are taken to Santa Barbara County Animal Services shelters and held for a minimum of 3 days before being placed for adoption.
